As the long-awaited marriage day approached, the Lord continued to reveal His faithfulness in the most intimate and powerful ways. A longtime friend, Kuriakose Brother from Goodness TV, called and informed me that he had persuaded Fr. Mathew Thadathil VC to attend the wedding. Though I hesitated due to the priest’s busy schedule, God orchestrated everything beautifully.
God’s Word Before the Ceremony
Before heading to the church, I slipped my Kindle Bible into my coat pocket. While sitting in the car, waiting for the ceremony to begin, I opened the Book of Psalms. Reading the Word brought such peace, reminding me of God’s presence. I also spent a few moments in the Adoration Chapel, standing quietly before the Eucharistic Lord.
When the Fathers arrived and the procession began, I quietly thanked God. I was overwhelmed with gratitude—He had brought me to this moment.
The Anointed Homily
Fr. Mathew’s message was saturated with the Holy Spirit’s presence. Tears flowed—not just from the Father, but from the congregation. Even later, others confirmed that they experienced something deeply spiritual during his preaching. The Word touched hearts.
The Thaali-Knot and God’s Faithfulness
In Indian weddings, tying the thaali-maala is a crucial and symbolic moment. Days before, my cousins tried to teach me how to tie the knot, but I just couldn’t get it right. The night before the wedding, I was still anxious. But then, I heard the Lord whisper, “I will be there.”
And He was. The Holy Spirit guided my hands. When I later watched the video, I was amazed—it took only ten seconds!
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 41:1)

Making Jesus the Center of the Celebration
As we headed to the reception, I had asked my friends to place Scriptures at the entrance and to display “JESUS is LORD” above the stage, along with a dove symbolizing the Holy Spirit. The music included Psalm 91 and Malayalam songs like “Ithratholam Yahovasahayichu”—testifying that the Lord had helped us so far. The entire atmosphere glorified Jesus.
Brother Sony, a gospel preacher who had been fasting for over 60 days, prayed for us on stage. It was an immense blessing to have a man of such spiritual strength praying on our special day.
God’s Attention to Detail
Everything—from the presence of Fr. Thadathil to the smallest arrangements—happened exactly as God had shown me months and even years earlier. The Lord not only fulfilled His promise but exceeded our expectations.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” (Ephesians 3:20–21)
Waiting Faithfully Produces Fruit
I share all this not to boast, but to encourage you to wait on God with a grateful heart. Whether it’s a marriage, a promise, or a dream, God is faithful. Even if it takes years—He is never late.
Let’s not be discouraged when we face delays. God has His own perfect timeline. Like the Konkani edition of my first book which was prophesied in 2009 and published only in 2016—some blessings take time.
“Blessed are all those who wait for Him.” (Isaiah 30:18)
How Should We Wait?
We wait in prayer, purity, obedience, and gratitude. We continue our duties—be it work, studies, or family responsibilities—faithfully. Not everyone is called to leave everything to serve God, but all are called to be faithful where we are.
Even in hidden places—kitchens, farms, hospitals, or trenches—God sees our heart. Faithful waiting bears fruit.
“Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength…” (Isaiah 40:31)
Final Encouragement
Stay close to the Lord between the promise and the fulfillment. Refuse to doubt. Continue to pray. Rejoice in hope. Wait on Him—and you will see the fruit of patience blossom into blessings beyond imagination.
